As a part of Service to God in Man, the Vedanta Soup Kitchen offers “Annadanam” or the donation of food to people in need. Free frozen vegetarian meals are lovingly prepared by volunteers at our Centre and provided to anyone seeking food help.
More than 450 meals a month are distributed via our Friday Foodbank service and sent to other community groups namely Westside Community Care and Redcliffe Breakfast Club. The free food service is accessed by many people experiencing food insecurity, marginalisation, social isolation and unemployment.
You can support this service through sponsorship of cooking. 150 meals are cooked and packed every fortnight onsite at the Vedanta Centre. You many like to sponsor a cooking day to mark a special occasion like birthdays, anniversaries or in memory of a loved one.
