The Soup Kitchen prepares nutritious vegan and vegetarian meals for the public and for those experiencing food insecurity. Meals typically consist of a combination of rice, vegetables, curry, dal, roti, sweet and/or fresh fruit. In 2019, approximately 1500 meals were served free to the public as part of our meals distribution program.
Our Soup kitchen volunteers work together one day a week to plan, prepare, cook, package and deliver frozen meals for people in need. At present, the soup kitchen cooks 100 free frozen meals a week.
